It was busy when I ordered lemon chicken with sauce and special fried rice. They gave me my order and completely forgot about the rice. I get home, everyone is starving and we realise there is no rice.
I phone them and I'm asked by the young man who screwed up my order if I'm coming back to collect the rice. He then tells me the restaurant doesn't deliver. I replied that I had no choice but to come back. So while the rest of the food at home goes cold I went back to the restaurant.
He's just sitting on his a$$ doing nothing and casially slides the rice over to me.
I explained to him that dinner was ruined because he didn't check my order and he just kind of blankly stared at me slightly shrugging his shoulders.
He didn't care one bit.
He's not at all helpful and IMO shouldn't
be the face of the business.
The food was lovely and very well prepared with huge portions. Get heaps for your dollar. He let his whole team down though with his actions.
It was a real shame.

THE BEST CHICKEN! Soo full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Came with rice and veg and came out very quickly. Also amazing service. They have good desserts and a great music playlist playing and lots of cool facts we didn’t know about The Philippines 🇵🇭 on the walls. Thanks for a great experience when passing through Albany. We will be back here!

Our visit to Albany Indian Tandoori Restaurant was truly a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the customer service was exceptional. We ordered Butter Paneer, which was initially a little spicy for my kids. Upon our request, the staff customized it to perfection, and it became the best Butter Paneer we’ve ever tasted—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. My kids loved it so much they finished the entire dish! We also tried the Kashmiri Pulav, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The variety and quality of vegetarian dishes were impressive as well, catering to all preferences, including Jain and Swaminarayan options.
Despite the restaurant being completely full, the outstanding customer service provided by Gurpreet was truly commendable. She was incredibly polite, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Gurpreet’s warm hospitality and her genuine care for customers, especially families with kids, were remarkable. Watching her interact with other customers so graciously was heartwarming.
The owner is truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and professional team. My family was highly satisfied with both the mouthwatering food and Gurpreet’s exceptional service. Whenever we visit Albany, this will be our go-to place for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!
