foo-hua

quote Ordered via menu log. I was a little apprehensive based on reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered my food about an hour earlier than I normally would have because they do have warnings on their dishes that the wait times may be long. I called up the restaurant to double check something in my order and the guy who I spoke to on the phone was lovely and helpful. I ended up receiving my food 45 minutes later (much much sooner than I expected due to the estimated wait time). Food was piping hot and delicious. I think that if other people do have issues with the wait time, please be patient and kind to the restaurant staff when you call in. It’s a very busy and popular place after all. There are warnings all over their menu informing you that wait times may exceed expectations, so order it earlier than you normally would, especially with large orders.

quote My partner decided to order 5mins before close for some reason but the resteraunt really pulled through. Our food was fresh, hot, plentiful and delicious! The only issue was, through Uber eats, since the resteraunt delivers rather than Uber driver the delivery isnt accurate. So i was worried since it closes at 9 our order wouldve been dismissed! Our order arrived at 940ish. But, thanks so much!

quote This has to be one of my top burger spots now. The crew running this joint are very friendly and chill and so is the atmosphere Great facilities onsite. Parking is easy too Ate the double cheeseburger and korean wings The burger is well presented and tastes pretty damn good. Not greasy I like my burgers a little more medium but no complaints still cooked well Order the large it's worth it Wasn't a huge fan of the wings but cooked alright. Will be back for round two The chicken saga

quote Everyone should give this restaurant another chance! Since it was taken over by new owners earlier this year, the food has become incredibly delicious. The dim sum and roasted meats are amazing. I highly recommend trying it out—it’s not even expensive! Living in the northern area, I’m so glad that I finally don’t have to drive all the way to Northbridge just to have dim sum. Although their dim sum and roasted meats are delicious, the highlight is actually their dinner service. The head chef’s dishes are packed with “wok hei” (that unique, smoky flavor from stir-frying), and the food is genuinely amazing. 🥰 These days, I basically go there at least once a week—it’s just too outstanding!

quote It's a good local restaurant to go to for Cantonese roast with tasty and good quality roast duck and roast pork that has skin that's done quite well with a slight crispness and crunch respectively.  It's not the best in Perth but for a suburban restaurant, it's really good, even though the meat is a little on the salty side. They do other barbecue and roast meats, as well as an extensive menu of "local" Cantonese Chinese dishes.  The restaurant isn't fancy, but they seem to get quite busy for a simple local restaurant.

quote What a surprise to find a true taste of Hong Kong out in Beechboro—complete with BBQ roasts. We dropped in for a casual Sunday lunch and were impressed to see that, even during our short visit, the restaurant had drawn in a steady stream of local Asian diners—a quiet but strong reflection of just how genuine the food is here at Ning Kwong, translated as Tranquil River Chinese Restaurant. We ordered a spread of Cantonese classics and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and that unmistakable hit of wok hei (!)—the chef is definitely not messing around. The sizzling tofu and salted egg prawns were absolute standouts, while the char siu and roast pork held their own against the best you’d find anywhere in Perth. Service was attentive and quick—we were well looked after from the moment we were seated to the thoughtful offer of takeaway boxes for our leftovers (next day’s lunch, sorted). It’s heartening to see such a genuine and traditional experience holding up so well in this part of Perth.
