5-stones-authentic-singapore-kitchen

quote I am not sure why their laksa is not featured anywhere in Adelaide. It’s the most legit Singaporean laksa here in Adelaide. It hits the spot and 100% Singaporean. Laksa leaves flavour is there! Not like most laksas here that is completely adulterated. But they only do it only in winter. So catch it before it goes off menu!

quote Perfect for a rainy day in Adelaide It would be nice to go here. You can enjoy very hot rice noodles that are truly delicious. There are many other menu items, but the rice noodles are very delicious.

little-canton-chinese-restaurant

quote Been here a few times already but this time I was dining alone and decided not to order the usual dim sum in basket. Instead I opted for the cripsy egg noodles with seafood. The portion was good and more than sufficient for a single diner. There is one scallop, 4 portions of fish, presumably basa fillet, about 3 prawns, some slices of squid/calamari, and 4 sections of bok choy. All in, a filling meal which tasted alright with the right amount of gravy to soak the noodles but not drown them. However, I feel that it lacked the wok hei (breath of the wok) and wish it could be more fragrant. Was seated near the door next to the window and it was really hot, probably from the mid-day sun. Not sure if awnings would help with that. Wait time was about 15 minutes.

nan-yang-cafe-derrimut

quote Saw some social media post about the $10 meal from this cafe. I ordered the laksa. The broth is delicious and the taste is quite authentic. Perhaps it’s under the $10 meal category, the ingredients are very limited, you are mainly paying for the noodles. Compared with another cafe in the Eastern suburb where they have similar $10 meal, the portion from the other shop seems to be more balanced. If you want some cheap meal at $10, you can come and try.

noodle-sushi-house

quote Lots of wok hei, no MSG, Asians that got used to MSG may think the taste is on the lighter side, but I found the flavor/taste is very close to authentic Canton/Guangdong style which the seasoning is not overwhelming and you could really taste the true taste of the ingredients, which is very yummy. The chicken skewers are deep fried, not traditional malay style, still tasty tho

the-springs-fish-and-chips

quote We don’t normally give reviews. But we had too because the food was awesome. We’ve had fish and chips here before, probably sometime last year, and they were good, but today it was great! Could not fault! Flake was amazing! Chips were perfect with extra chicken salt like we asked! Potato cakes were thick and crispy. Super happy as we are locals!
