pho-huong-viet-carnegie

quote Gave this Pho joint a 3 star review for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the vegetarian summer roll had tofu in it, which was overcooked and had very tough skin, making eating it an unpleasant experience. The peanut sauce with the summer roll was nice. While beef pho broth was tasty, it could do with a bit more depth of flavour. The mixed beef cuts were good. Overall I'd give it a 3.5

quote Just got take out here and was pleasantly surprised that it was given with a free tote bag and a complementary rice pudding! Best range of vegan and veg options in the area as well and wonderful variety of food! 10/10 recommend!

quote Consistently good coffee. Everything here is made by the owner, and is very fresh. Even the bread is homemade, and is excellent. Has a very large and varied menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Don't be quick to pass this one by. Low key, and easily overlooked amongst the other food spots in this stretch of Centre Road, E Bentleigh, but definitely worth trying.

4-seasons-laksa

quote I’ve never seen such a large variety of laksa before. Ordered the crispy pork laksa, and it was delicious! I ordered the mild laksa as I wasn’t sure of the spice level, but the waiter kindly gave me a small dish of the chilli sauce so I could adjust the laksa to my taste. The waiter was very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere is great too, it is very clean, bright, and inviting. Highly recommend.

quote This has been my favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne since I first discovered it way back, in 1994! Over the years I brought so many friends, family, colleagues, and they all loved it! The whole experience has been the same all these years - the service, food, atmosphere all have a feel an upscale restaurant. When you add moderate pricing to that, it certainly makes it a must visit place. It is very hard to pick a favourite dish, as all food chef Narender makes is great. Still, i may mention a few. My favourite dish has been, from the beginning, chicken pakora, but I would also highly recommend: - bagare baingan (eggplant dish) - onion chili kulcha (spicy stuffed bread). I also have to mention friendly smiles of the owners Reeta and Narender Behl, which make you feel like you are visiting their home, rather than their business. Highly recommended!

lemongrass-restaurant

quote My Khmer wife and I decided to try Lemongrass Restaurant after noticing how busy and popular it looked—and we’re glad we did! The restaurant is small but clean, tidy, and well set up. The menu was a real standout—clear, with pictures of every dish and descriptions in both English and Khmer, which made ordering a breeze. We each chose a lunch dish and also ordered a takeaway to enjoy later. Every dish we had was delicious, and my Cambodian wife was especially impressed by the quality and authenticity of the food—high praise indeed! No complaints at all: great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone after genuine, tasty Cambodian cuisine.
