Absolutely Outstanding – Best Fish & Chips in Perth! If you're craving top-tier fish and chips, look no further than 9 Oceans in Duncraig – hands down one of the best seafood spots I've experienced in WA. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, friendly service that instantly makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The menu offers a great selection, but it’s the quality and freshness that truly sets 9 Oceans apart. The fish is perfectly cooked – golden, crispy batter with light, flaky fish inside that tastes like it was caught that morning. The chips are consistently crunchy on the outside and the portion sizes are generous without being greasy or overdone. Bonus points for their homemade tartare sauce. Everything tastes clean, fresh, and made with care. Whether you're picking up a quick dinner or treating the family, 9 Oceans delivers every single time. A local gem that’s worth the drive even if you’re not in the area. Highly recommend!

The chicken katsu was crispy on the outside yet juicy on the inside. The egg was soft and slightly runny, coating the rice and chicken beautifully without overpowering the flavour. Portion was generous, and the sauce tied everything together with a nice savoury touch. Would definitely order again when I’m craving comfort food :D

Used to visit this place a lot! First visit when the price was $8.90 per dish and now $17! We went at lunch time, around 12:30pm and the place was quiet, only 2-3 other tables occupied. Greeted by a friendly lady, not the usual face though. She took the order & completed transaction - paid. Reasonable cooking time, decent portion. But the taste.. there’s something missing! We had the kolo mee (used to be wow so good), Laksa (tasted curry powder), house special fried rice (a bit tasteless) & nasi lemak. It was definitely not as good as the old time. Maybe it has changed owner. Will I come back? Maybe - but it won’t be the first choice.

Got some special fried rice to compliment the chicken we had. Rice unfortunately dry and not much flavour. I try to always order from a Chinese place to make sure they are always using msg and they're is good flavour, but this isn't that place. A good amount of stuff in the rice though. Wouldn't order again. (I only had their special fried rice, I ordered it, this might be so different in the restaurant, no idea on their service etc).

Manager came out specifically to tell off the lovely workers who were very attentive, because they forgot to charge and extra $2 for gravy on the side. He yelled at them in front of us rather then pulling them aside later, he seemed like a right asshole, I apologised and offered to pay the $2 but the girls were very nice and said it was fine. Management need to pull their heads in and start treating their workers better. Chips were slay tho.

Holy crap. I am a birria taco connoisseur and this is by far the best place I’ve been to in Perth. Imagine your classic street food tacos (oily and delicious broth) well this place was it. The staff were friendly and although it was quiet the atmosphere had great potential. I would highly recommend this place and I will for sure be coming back!!
