Sweet corn and chicken soup had the consistency of snot and didn't have much flavour. Everything else good. Batter on the honey chicken was a bit soggy but still tasty

My partner and I went to this place on Friday night before we headed to the airport. It didn’t look much from me outside, however the service was very lovely. The lady was very kind and cleaned the outside tables for us to sit and eat. The food was delicious. It was fresh, generous and extremely well priced. We would so go back again because you can’t get good food like this for such a great price any more. I highly recommend this place. 😄❤️

At $10 a dish, this Malaysian café is a budget win — perfect if you’re a student or just looking to fill up without emptying your wallet. But for me, it wasn’t quite the flavour journey I was hoping for. I tried the Penang White Curry Mee, Hainan Chicken Rice, Loh Bak, and Teh Tarik. The curry mee arrived in a generous bowl, but it was mainly noodles swimming in white curry broth, with not much else going on. The Hainan Chicken Rice looked like the real deal, but taste-wise, it felt like my brain got the memo — “this is chicken and rice” — while my mouth and stomach were still waiting for it to show up. The highlight? Only the Teh Tarik — smooth, milky, and exactly how it should be. If you’re here for value, especially as a student, this is a 5-star find. But if, like me, you’re chasing those bold, satisfying Malaysian flavours, it’s closer to 3 stars — filling enough, but missing the spark that makes you crave the next bite.

Lots of wok hei, no MSG, Asians that got used to MSG may think the taste is on the lighter side, but I found the flavor/taste is very close to authentic Canton/Guangdong style which the seasoning is not overwhelming and you could really taste the true taste of the ingredients, which is very yummy. The chicken skewers are deep fried, not traditional malay style, still tasty tho

One way to describe this fish & chip shop is old school. Food is fantastic, staff are amazing. Love this place and highly recommend. This place won’t disappoint. 10/10

Food was delicious but the service was even better! Super friendly and clearly a family oriented business. I went in with my family, ordered a dinner for 2 for me and the little ones because they’re not the biggest fans of fish. But F-Lakes gave us 4 extra flakes on the house! One for each child. And to my surprise, the kids ate the whole thing! Probably because it was top quality haha. Will definitely be back again and I’ll be sure to let everyone know to check out F-Lakes Fish and Chips in Caroline Springs 👍🏽
