micks-ocean-fresh-fish-takeaway

quote Fresh fish and seafood on display, clean, organised shop. We ordered Flake, Chips and a Cheeseburger for takeaway. The flake was the best I’ve ever had, tender and juicy, not greasy or overcooked. Chips were great and the medium serve was very generous! Cheeseburger was tasty, fresh roll and very enjoyable! Definitely return next time we’re in Bendigo!

new-china-kennington

quote Popped into the New China, Asian restaurant in Kennington for a quick take away. I was very pleased to be able to buy a mixed pack here. I had fried rice and beef and black bean. The meal really hit the spot. The welcoming service we received was friendly and with a smile. One of the best things about the restaurant is the convenient parking available right outside. If you are after a quick tasty Asian meal I’d recommend you consider New China Kennington.

quote I was so impressed with the service and food quality here. Being a country town, you’d assume Chinese cuisine would be questionable… but we forget the largest Chinese population in Australia once was in these regions and is home to some of the best Chinese restaurants in Australia. We were so kindly greeted by a young waitress who I assume is part of their family - she was highly attentive, very helpful and really bubbly and kind. Food was great - rainbow steak was our favourite. Be sure to visit this place - highly recommended!

mcivor-fish-chips

quote Good fish and chips here. On the way home we decided to call into the McIvor Road Fish and Chip shop. Although there was only a few of us in the shop we could tell that they must do a lot of phone orders as the deep fryers were working overtime. We ordered the stock standard fish and chips with potato cakes to takeaway. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the order was filled fairly quickly considering how busy they were. Although there are a few metal seats outside, no tables, this is a predominately takeaway store. Worth considering if you are after a feed of fish and chips.

toi-shan-bendigo

quote We chose the restaurant because it’s purported to be the oldest Chinese Restaurant in Australia. The decor was definitely old school Main Street Chinese, and we didn’t know what to expect. We ordered beef and chicken dishes and some entrees. We were very impressed with the food - it was fresh, tasty and hot. The meats were tender, the veggies perfect, and the preparation was excellent. Recommended for a tasty and historic meal in Bendigo.

quote Reilly was awesome, extremely accomodating staff member who stopped at nothing to make sure the kids and I had a lovely meal. The mongolian beef was bonza and the honey chicken was good. Fried rice was bangin.
