asaka-sushi

quote The chicken katsu was crispy on the outside yet juicy on the inside. The egg was soft and slightly runny, coating the rice and chicken beautifully without overpowering the flavour. Portion was generous, and the sauce tied everything together with a nice savoury touch. Would definitely order again when I’m craving comfort food :D

quote Manager came out specifically to tell off the lovely workers who were very attentive, because they forgot to charge and extra $2 for gravy on the side. He yelled at them in front of us rather then pulling them aside later, he seemed like a right asshole, I apologised and offered to pay the $2 but the girls were very nice and said it was fine. Management need to pull their heads in and start treating their workers better. Chips were slay tho.

hermanos-en-cantina

quote This is a pretty good Mexican restaurant specialising in tacos but also offers many other choices such as nachos and sandwiches! The tacos lives up to the expectations - the meat quality was solid and the mix of flavours when you take one bite was delicious. Their sandwich was also awesome to even look at. It was rich in meat and the cheese and sauce balance was on point. The nachos on the other hand was quite odd. They served it in a paper container although we were dining in and all the cheese stuck to the container. This made it quite difficult to mix the nachos with the rest of the ingredients and overall it felt like I was battling to avoid eating the container itself.

hong-kong-bbq-house

quote As a Cantonese first time to try this restaurant. I ordered the BBQ combination and the bbq pork & roasted pork belly were just heaven! They both 10/10. I will definitely return for these two! But the chicken and roasted duck were just okay, duck skin was crispy, but the chicken a bit tasteless. All in all I’m quite happy with this meal and happy to come again.

quote Honey Chicken – A bit soggy with too much honey sauce so it was really wet; not crispy as expected, could use more batter Sizzling Tofu with Salted Fish – The egg at the bottom was a bit weird, but it had a wok hei (smoky) flavour but overall not bad Gai Lan (Chinese Broccoli) – A little soft and not crisp the vegetables weren’t the best Peking Pork Ribs – Also slightly soggy, could have used a crisper texture Ginger Shallot Fish – The flavour was fine, but the fish itself wasn’t super fresh and had a slightly mushy texture Salt and Pepper Prawns – Really good flavour and crisp, has the tail on

quote Great Viet food. Plenty of seating. Fast and friendly service. We had lunch on a Sunday here and ordered the braised duck in egg noodles soup and a lotus root with pork and prawn salad. Both were great. The braised duck was flavourful. Egg noodles were perfectly cooked and came with bean sprouts, some Chinese vegetables and lettuce leaves. The soup was appetising. The prawns in the salad were big, not over cooked - springy and not tough. The pork was well flavoured. The salad was a tad too salty, but only just a little. Overall, very happy with it!
