Traditional Vietnamese cooking is greatly admired for its fresh ingredients, minimal use of dairy and oil, complementary textures, and reliance on herbs and vegetables. Common ingredients include shrimp paste, fish sauce, bean sauce, rice, fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables.
We decided to try the Meat Lover Supreme pizza, and it exceeded all expectations. The toppings were a hearty mix of various meats, but what really stood out was the unique flavour of the meat itself. It had a distinct Middle Eastern spice profile, almost reminiscent of a kebab—warm, aromatic, and full of depth. The pizza’s base was another pleasant surprise: not too thick, with a wonderfully chewy texture that held up well without being overly heavy. I’ll definitely be coming back for more of that flavourful, one-of-a-kind pizza.

We placed a takeaway order yesterday night and this meal called “Fisherman’s Basket” was so delicious and mouthwatering. It was more than enough for two people. Loved it! And really friendly customer service as well.

Had a fantastic breakfast buffet at Bala's Kitchen! The live dosas were fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. Medu vada was perfectly done, and the chutneys were spot on. The filter coffee and tea were just the way they should be. Friendly and professional staff made the experience even better. It made us feel so good and energized for our drive to Auckland. Highly recommend for a delicious start to your day.
