This has been my favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne since I first discovered it way back, in 1994!
Over the years I brought so many friends, family, colleagues, and they all loved it!
The whole experience has been the same all these years - the service, food, atmosphere all have a feel an upscale restaurant. When you add moderate pricing to that, it certainly makes it a must visit place.
It is very hard to pick a favourite dish, as all food chef Narender makes is great. Still, i may mention a few.
My favourite dish has been, from the beginning, chicken pakora, but I would also highly recommend:
- bagare baingan (eggplant dish)
- onion chili kulcha (spicy stuffed bread).
I also have to mention friendly smiles of the owners Reeta and Narender Behl, which make you feel like you are visiting their home, rather than their business.
Highly recommended!

Love a nan and pop owned restaurant, lovely service and prompt. Food is pretty standard Chinese food, we ordered noodle dishes. Good amount and tenderness of the beef brisket and beef pieces. Soup was fairly tasty, noodles were the typical store bought which I don’t particularly like the texture of but food is food. Decent price as well.

When I had a dinner time I came to here.
Taste is sooo nice and a lot menu
not friendly staff but I don’t care.
The most important thing in the restaurant is taste.
Why don’t have a customer...
Beef noodle soup is amazing.
But when I ordered spring roll, The lettuce was not fresh, and the amount was small.

A real treasure when it comes to flavour, portions, and affordability! Their $10 dishes are full of flavour, and we’ve enjoyed everything we’ve tried so far. The Hainan chicken, in particular, was incredibly juicy and tender — just amazing. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Great place for a satisfying meal which doesn't leave a hole in your pocket. Many dishes are available @ AUD10. My favourite dishes from the menu are the Traditional Kolo Mee and Pork Noodle Soup.
The place can be crowded during lunch time thus needs to be patient. Sitting available while waiting outside the Eatery which is a short distance from Glenferrie Railway Station.
